I first saw Otterhounds nearly twenty years ago at an Agricultural Show. They looked magnificent parading in the main ring and I promised myself that one day I would own one.

My children were very involved with Pony Club and showing our Welsh ponies and Cobs so it wasn't until January 2000 that a 3 year old Otterhound called Mabel came to live with us.

I can truly say that although I have lived all my life with GSDs and a Border Terrier, Mabel melted my heart. This was to be the beginning of Keepcott Otterhounds.

Since those early days I have learned so much and consider myself extremely lucky to have found this wonderful breed.

I have made up 6 U.K. Champions, 2 of them (Ch. Keepcott Banknote and Ch. Keepcott Connoisseur) being home bred. (Click on the hound names for pictures.)

Also there have been 4 Keepcott litters and I have a litter planned for later this year. Currently we have 8 Otterhounds ranging in age from 9 months to 10 years and it gives visitors a chance to see a real selection of hounds.

I have been an Otterhound Club committee member since 2003 and encourage anyone interested in the breed to join the club.

All hounds used in my breeding programme are KC/BVA Hip and Elbow scored and DNA tested and I am a Kennel Club Accredited Breeder.
